Changing a Person's Manager/Position

  1. From the Person record, click the Detail link (first link in the person tree).
  2. Click Action > Change Manager/Position.
  3. Enter the appropriate information in the fields:
Field Description

Organization

Zoom to select the organization. For additional information on configuration, see Organization.

Manager

Zoom to select a manager. For additional information on configuration, see Users.

Department

Zoom to select a new department for the employee. For additional information on configuration, see Departments.

Position

Zoom to select a new position for the employee. For additional information on configuration, see Positions.

Keep Role From Previous Position

Check this checkbox to keep the roles from the last position held.

Roles are being removed. What Should occur with the requirements?

Click the drop down arrow and specify what should happen to the roles if the requirement is no longer required. Deactivating the role removes it from the Certification Information folder for the person.

  • Deactivate – If selected, the requirement is deactivated and the person no longer needs to fulfill the requirement.
  • Suspend – If selected, the requirement is suspended at the Person record and the manager can make a decision as to whether this requirement must be fulfilled. When this is done, the requirement does not apply to the person's certification status; however, the person can still fulfill the requirements.
  • Keep – If selected, the requirement is kept for the Person record and the person must still fulfill the course requirement.
Remove the manager from the Approvers List

If this checkbox is checked, the previous manager will no longer be notified when the roster needs to be approved.

Comment

Enter any comments about the changes being made.

  1. Enter your user ID and password.
  2. Click the Save button.
